The pairs listed below
represent our entire collection of Amazons.
In the interest of our wonderful neighbors, we've decided to sell these
incredible birds in lieu of a quieter atmosphere.
Thanks to Joey (our favorite neighbor) for tolerating it as long as he did!!
In the past five years, AA has had the absolute privilege to know and care for
these amazing creatures. Each pair is proven, healthy and will continue to
breed well for their new owners for years to come. They can be shipped
nationwide, through Continental Airlines.

Archie & Edith
$2800.00
SALE $2000
Ah,
this GORGEOUS pair of Magna Double Yellow Heads is amazing to watch in their
aviary. The misters are set to turn on around noon (just when it's
starting to heat up) and Archie is always the first to start dancing in the
mist! Edith (#2- The first Edith flew the coop!!), just sits and watches her new
mate until she can't take it anymore and finally joins him.
This pair breeds very well, sits tight and feeds 2-3 chicks per
clutch. Chicks should be pulled on the early side, though,
as Edith feeds often but not heavily and babies need time
indoors to catch up. Their chicks are INCREDIBLE! |

Frida &
George $2800.00
SALE $2000
This fiery pair is definitely in love and gave us
their first beautiful babies this year. They typically sit under a palm canopy and watch
the backyard happenings, and they're always the first to sound the warning call
when I step out onto the porch. Shown here are the both of them. George is one
of my most captivating Magnas. He's large and
brilliant in his coloring!
When breeding season comes around, they're the pair that gets
all of the others in line. The first to ward of potential threats to their nestbox, they puff up, fan their tails out and cling to the walls of their cage.
They calm down considerably after breeding season has passed and are quite tame
and gentle with me. Their chicks are large and colorful and LOVE to
snuggle... |

Cagney & Lacey SOLD
This pair is aptly named for Cagney's (the male)
"Machine Gun" call every morning and evening. Lacey joins in
with a very sweet and extremely exotic cry that sounds a lot
like a peacock.
This pair is usually the first to go to nest, seconded only
by Georgia & Alfred. They lay 3 fertile eggs, but will
ignore the last to hatch - so I usually take the egg to
hatch in the house when the last two have hatched.
Their chicks are sweet and cuddly and very quick to talk! |

Georgia & Alfred $2500.00
This is one VERY special pair !!
They are very sweet birds and have often been referred to as
the most beautiful pair of Yellow-Napes in the county. Heavy turquoise coloring
on their heads and HUGE yellow bands. See for yourself !!
Georgia feeds very well and out of all the
sweet babies she and Alfred have given me, I've never had to
pull one early. Chicks from this pair are large
and brilliant & often learn to speak while still being
handfed! |

Lucy & Desi
$2500.00
These two sway in tandem to inaudible music and ruffle their
feathers mumbling the tune of some song they've enjoyed on the radio. I'm almost
sure it's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", which makes sense when you hear Desi's
rendition of a semi-truck backing up! They are even more fun to watch than
Archie (and that's saying a lot). They thank you when fed and always ask
"What's Up?"
Devoted parents and steady breeders, this pair also cares
for each chick very well. |

Peg & Al
$2200.00
SALE $1500
These two are the messy ones of the bunch. Cagney
and Lacey would have a field day in their cage! On the rare occasion that they
leave their food bowl in it's holder, they can cover their entire aviary with chunks of carrots, beans and apple
in just under 20 minutes.
If you want my opinion, I think it's because cage cleaning is
their favorite part of the day. It always takes me twice as long in there
!! They love the garden hose, opting for more water than the misters provide.
Colorful babies from this pair sell quickly
and are VERY good at opera! |

Diego
& Wheezie
$2200.00
SOLD
These
two bicker constantly! George tries his darnedest to please Weezie, but to no
avail. He spends his morning carrying coconut hair into the nestbox. She spends
her afternoon carrying it all back out ! The two can't decide on anything except
how much they love each other.
This pair produce big & gorgeous chicks every year and HATE
having them pulled for handfeeding! |

Fred & Wilma
$2600.00
The
King and Queen of the stone age !! My one and only pair of Parvipes, their
chicks sell quickly. They happily hatch their eggs,
but need to be watched to make sure they're feeding well.
I've had to pull chicks early on these two. |

Homer
$900.00
SALE $600
The names say it all.. Homer is kind of a bully. I
don't think he realizes just how great a wife he has. He flirts with Weezie (one
cage over) and on occasion, chases Marge from the food. She's very sweet
and extremely gentle (even during breeding).
The other night, I heard them bickering back and forth (yes,
I can tell by their voices which are which), and then I heard someone hit
the floor. Evidently, Homer bit Marge's toe, because when I walked out to see
what all the commotion was about, She was sitting on her perch at the front of
the cage, showing me her toe, which had a small cut and a little blood on
it. She looked at me (holding her foot up and pointing it at me) as if to say
"Look what he did"!
I brought her in the house, bandaged her toe and gave
her a cup of Gatorade fruit drink (her favorite drink). We visited for awhile
and after an hour or so, I asked if she was ready to go back to Homer. She
stepped right up onto my hand like she knew what I was saying and I walked her
back out to the aviary.
When we got back to her cage, Homer was waiting for her and
spent the rest of the evening preening and feeding her as if he were very sorry
for the whole misunderstanding! See, deep down, Homer's a great guy.
Chico & Sassy
This sweet and beautiful boy has waited a long time for Mrs. Chico to be found
!! He is one of the most beautiful Chaco Blue-Front Amazons we've ever had the
pleasure of getting to know and he and his new wife will hopefully make
equally gorgeous and sweet babies someday very soon !!
