Arizona Amazons has some of the most outstanding Amazons in the country available to you this year!
  There are beautiful babies that have already been pulled for handfeeding and many more are still with their parents.

We have also made arrangements to partner with
another wonderful aviary here in Phoenix
to hand-rear their babies as well this year.  
These chicks all sell very quickly and,
because each is raised in our home
with the exact same loving care
that we provide our own babies,
our past clients that have bought our wonderful
Magna Double Yellow, Yellow Nape and
Chaco Blue Fronts are already joining our waiting list for some of
these exciting new additions.
 

Of course, our crowning achievements are our breathtaking Magnas, Yellow Napes & Chacos.  Our pairs have been busily chewing nestboxes and readying their spaces for this year's additions.  Some have already given us sweet balls of fluff to look after, while others are taking their time. 
Either way, it's shaping up to be a busy baby season in Arizona !

There's nothing quite as charming as one of our Magnas. They continuously try and convince us to look the other way while they find a new trouble to
get into.  This is Paco, owned by Ken & Eric of North Carolina. 
Paco was born here in 2004 as his new "parronts" waited
anxiously for their first photo.
His road to adulthood has been photographed and can be viewed here.

It's April 13th, 2005 as I write this and our beautiful pairs are beginning to nest.  George and Wheezie have a jump on the others with two brand new babies in their nestbox.  Archie & Edith, Cagney & Lacey and Frida & Diego are getting close to laying while our others are still considering it carefully.  The warm days and cool night breezes of spring here in the desert Southwest will hopefully bring a week of evening showers, and then all will decide that it's time.

Above every bird that we raise here, our Magnas seem to be the highest in demand. There are many reservations already, but our pairs take their responsibilities very seriously and assure me that they're up for the task !

The first two of our Cute & Cuddly baby Yellow Naped Amazons came into the house with us on March 29th.  We're already so happy with their weights and progress and we're looking forward to bringing the next two in to join them in the next week and a half or so. These two chunky monkeys are well over 500 grams already at just about 6 weeks old.

They're at the age now when everything is beak tested and while awake, they're either playing or eating.  Either is fine with me !!  I love to play with baby Amazons.. They're not quite as fearful as some of the other species  I've raised.  All seem to come around in their own time no matter the species, but Amazons (Napes in particular) hit the ground running.. There's very little that seems to intimidate them.

These two should be ready for approved homes in the middle of July

Mascot here at Arizona Amazons !!  She is incredible and very sweet.  We expect nothing less from her siblings.
These two chicks spent the first week with Mom and Dad and will be available weaned and ready to play soon !!
